Hello Dancers and Families,
I'm writing my week 5 post a little early due to "no contact week" starting tomorrow. As a reminder, it is a high school state league rule where we cannot hold any practices or events for dance team, as well as not being allowed to conduct any communication. This is to ensure all student athletes and coaches get a proper summer vacation. In respect to this, I will not return any communication until Monday, July 9th.
Now for a couple of items:
1. Here are our remaining dance practices for this summer session.
July 9th - Kick (beg and adv)
July 11th - Ballet (beg and adv)
July 12th - Jazz (beg and adv)
July 16th - 19th - Camp Dance
July 20th - All dancers practice
For our camp dance practices, these are ONLY for those attending dance camp. If you are not attending camp, you should not come to these practices.
For July 20th, all dancers should attend the 5-7pm practice. We will be running through our beginning kick, beginning jazz, advanced kick, advanced jazz, and camp dance routines on the gym floor one last time before our show at 7pm.
The other dates listed on our calendar called "choreography session" are not mandatory. These 4 practices will be for veteran dancers who want to audition to help with choreography for our winter season. We only invite those who have been on winter season before to attend these practices. It is not mandatory, however if you want to help with choreography for the
2018-2019 winter season, you will need to attend at least 2 of the 4 sessions. Coaches will keep attendance and chose the choreography committee based on dancers who've completed their 2 sessions. Announcements of the choreography committee will be given in September.
2. Apparel is in from Letterman's. You dancer can pick it up at any of our practices. The last time we will be offering pick up will be at our July 20th show. If you do not pick it up by then, the next time won't be until fall season starts.
3. Team shoes and backpacks are still on their way. Please be patient and I will send out a communication as soon as we have them.
4. Thank you for selling the discount cards. If you are needing more, please feel free to reach out to Steph Mork. She will be more than happy to help you out.
Thank you for reading and enjoy your 4th of July week!
Jenny Whiteley
